The Commission’s funding role.
Section 17 of the Equality Act 2006 empowers the Equality and Human Rights Commission to award funding. To ensure that the grant programme reflects the Commission's integrated mandate, we are working on developing proposals for 2009 and beyond.
Aims of the research project
The commission is committed to developing best practice in all its work. In order to help inform its future practice, EHRC Scotland is commissioning a number of short research projects on a range of topics. These include a research project to identify and highlight examples of good funding practice, and identify key gaps, which may be useful to the commission in developing its approach to funding from 2009.
