Summary
This first anniversary booklet gives a flavour of the Commission's work over so far, by highlighting the stories of 10 people whose lives have somehow been touched by the Commission. Some of the stories are inspirational, some funny, some just plain fascinating. Whether it’s the single mother wanting a fair deal for herself and her disabled child; the sports club bringing young footballers together; the father looking at how to make work more flexible or the organisation fighting for those who suffer domestic violence – we hope that One Year, Ten Stories gives an insight into what we believe the Commission is here to achieve. Real change for real people.
With pictures by the award winning photographer Suki Dhanda and words by reporter and columnist Tanya Gold, One Year, Ten Stories can also be viewed on our website.
