First round table meeting
Our first round table on religion or belief was held on 18 January 2008, when a diverse range of religious and belief organisations attended our Manchester headquarters. A wide range of issues were discussed such as the relationship between religious and other belief systems eg Humanist, as well as how the issue of religion or belief relates to the other equality strands.
The role of the Commission on this agenda was discussed and the feedback that we received will, along with other research, assist us in future policy development in this area. We are planning to hold a number of regional roundtable discussions with our regional teams playing a key role.
